Got a chance to go to LAX Tacos tonight for dinner. The area can be a bit sketchy, especially at night. Not too hard to find if you know where Arbor Vitae is (Westchester Parkway turns into Arbor Vitae in Inglewood).
Tacos were cheap, at a $1.25 each. Add a few more cents for cheese. I chose the Adobada, Asada, and Carnitas. Add a "Pina" drink and you have a meal for 6 bucks. The tacos were ok....the meat fillings weren't too impressive to be honest...maybe it was sitting out for a while after being cooked. Salsa wasn't great, there were some carrots, etc. The tortillas used were very good though. The cheese was grated cheddar of a color not found in nature. Overall, it was allright, not mindblowing or some place I'm going to drive out of my way for. Personally, I enjoyed the taco truck at Lincoln and Rose more, which I've also had the recently. Perhaps my "taco-palate" was a bit off, I was in Acapulco two weeks ago and the street tacos out there were amazing. :)
Might give it another try, maybe try the Sopes or Torta.
Snapped a pic with my cameraphone. Sorry so dark, I don't really use that thing that much.
