Latest Hot Spot in San Gabriel--Cafe 108

Cafe 108, on Valley Bl. just west of San Gabriel Bl. (N side of street) opened up a few weeks ago and for some reason is really packing them in. This afternoon at lunch there was a mob of people waiting for tables and others arriving and immediately turning and leaving. Food appears to be standard Hong Kong Cafe fare--sole in cream sauce, filet mignon in pepper sauce, linguine soup etc., with some interesting appetizers such as Guilin shrimp squares and spicy salmon cubes. Food is good and prices are moderate, but I'm not sure what the attraction is. Maybe it's all of the giant ant logos on the walls and menus. Even the business card has half of a giant ant on the back and two life size ants (which I first mistook for a printing blemish) on the front.
