Late supper / breakfast for returning travelers?

I'm housesitting for some friends who are on their honeymoon in Hawaii. They'll be getting back about midnight, after a moderately long flight. I'd like to leave them something -- out or in the fridge -- that would be tasty & special either as a late night snack when they get in, or as breakfast the next morning. The bottle of champagne is obvious, with optional juice. But I'm having trouble thinking of what food would be nice.

It needs to be quick & easy for them. I can either cook or purchase, jst so long as it can overnight successfully.

For me, some smoked salmon, goat or cream cheese & some interesting bread would be wonderful. However, he doesn't much care for smoked fish.

About the only other thing I'm coming up with that works for either late night or breakfast is something like a Quiche Lorraine & some fruit. That's a do-able option.

Anybody have any other interesting ideas?
