Late Night at McNear’s Saloon, Petaluma

Melanie Wong | Jan 28, 200312:08 AM

Sunday night, 9pm, this is one of the few places in downtown Petaluma that will seat you and take an order. The Memphis style pork shoulder is smoked 10 hours and toothsome. The pulled pork sandwich is actually chopped, but it's still a goody on a crusty sesame seed bun with good cole slaw and decent sauce for $7.95. Wasn't as fond of the Wyder pear cider, $3.50. But all in all, it was quick, tasty, a nice rest stop, and soon I was back on the road.
