My wife and I were watching Bobby Flay throwdown lasagna against Bove's in Burlington, VT this afternoon when she asked what my favorite non-family lasagna is in the Boston area. We both quickly came to the conclusion that we're terrified to order lasagna when we're out. Too many bland bechamel experiences I guess. I did a quick internet search and came up w/ nada. Anyways, anyone have recs for the best, or maybe second best, old-fashioned Italian comfort food? Personally, I don't have much interest in seafood, veggie or bechamel infested intruders so throw in a caveat if your fav is a little outside the box. I do appreciate a quality al Forno so any recs on al forno would be greatly appreciated too.
