I just bought a whole hog with some friends, and as a result I've got about 25 pounds of pork fat in my freezer, ready to be made into lard. (I've taken on lard-rendering duties for all.) The process looks simple-as-lard-based-pie-crust. But my question is, can I do this in a crockpot rather than on the stovetop?
