I posted earlier to see if anyone had gone....I wish someone would have told me not to.
Absolutely loved the rock shrimp and calamari. Great dipping sauces and fried perfectly! Greatest part about dinner.
Dinner was pathetic and so was the service. Service was atrocious, served by high schoolers wishing they didn't have to be there on a Sunday night. Maybe that was the problem to begin with...?
Their atmostphere is hardly worth the visit.
Menu is hardly appetizing. Their iceberg wedge lacks so much flavor, and it's not even served cold. Their sides lack originality and charisma...WHY GO HERE IF YOU HAVE SUCH BETTER SIDES AND STARCHES AT FLEMINGS or some other respectable steak house.
2 ribeys offered as entres hardly represents any semblance of originality. I made the mistake of ordering the bone in rib eye-- the cajun rib was a lot more tender and juicuier than mine. Ordered mine med rare and it came medium. My buddy order his medium and it was served well. Horrible kitchen that can't get temperatures right about basic meats. Sides were served cold and the meat was luke warm. I don't know if they claim their meat is prime, but it tasted like shoe leather. Seriously, this place does not know steak!
Server didn't even offer us desert!!!!
I won't be going back ever. There are so much better menus, service, and restaurants than this one. This guy is way over his head, and should stick to his Orange /Chapman hangout, because this ripoff should have never entered the Newport area. What a rip off, and I'm never going back again.
The "head server"--some poor bastard who had nothing to offer us as far as comps or anything else, tried to sympathize, but I told him don't bother. This sad place won't be around much long for complainers like me. I'm just bummed that you try something new, and it's a complete cluster f_ck.
Do Flemings or Bungalow for good steak...this place is complete amateuer hour.
