Had reservations for 4 last Tuesday night. Got there early and had a drink at the bar which was hoppin' First impession..beautiful room and attentive, friendly and informed staff who were not shy about making recommendations from the menu. The apps and sides were were what shined for me.
We got the tuna tartare which was a unique presentation that tasted pretty good. Was sort of gound up in a ball and you dipped in w these yummy crispy salted crackers. I think I prefer the usual sliced thin kind or tuna. The fonduti was amazing. A cheese fondu w some italian pancetta and ciabatta for dipping. I could have licked the plate. For entrees 2 of us got the swordfish and 2 got the Filet Mignon. Also ordered sides of fries and broccoli rabe. The swordfish was served w roasted peppers and onions on top. Average dish at best. I thought the fish was dry and pretty tasteless. No one can beat my hubs preparation w his homemade blackening mix and cooked on the grill. I should know better. Our pals seemed to like the Filets but I didn't hear any raves. The fries were the best I'v ever had and the broc rabe was just ok. We go an assortment of sorbets and the white choc bread pudding which was also very very GOOD. Had a bottle of wine which was great but don't remember what it was. Had a very enjoyable evening but it will cost ya ~ $110 pp. Will definately go back but try beef or chicken next time.
