Lame knife snags in bread

I coughed up $10 and bought one of those razor knives (lame) for scoring bread before baking.

No matter what I do -- coated with water or flour -- is snags badly when i try to score the loaf, to the point where it defaults the top of it.

I don't get it. I watch the videos and they make it look like it glides right through.
