Was in a "no mood to cook" mood last night and Bryan and I ended up in historic Ellicot City. Remembering peckish's comment about La Palapa, we went in. This place has changed hands numerous times since the days I worked up on the hill, so on decor and architecure, it's a hodge-podge mess. Skip that and head straight to the food.
I don't know if this is a usual thing or because it was a quiet Thursday night but eveything was fresh and tasty from the fizzy soda, hot chips, and fresh salsa down to my Chicken Mole (though it was a little sweeter than I'm use to). Prices are about right for the area. Service was adequate (again, Thursday night?). Worth a second visit if in the area again and in the mood for Mexican.
