la lupe and le jardin review

We went to la lupe yesterday for lunch due to postive feed back from holly and others. Since it was our first time we asked the waiter's recommendation and he picked the spicy pork and beef with sautee veggies. It took about 20 minutes for the food to arrive and we figured it must be a good sign. As we took our first bite we were shocked how salty every thing tasted. The runny beans, the rice, the veggies that tasted like they came from the can and the over cooked meat. I told the waiter I couldn't possibly eat this and he took it a way and offered me an alternative. Looking around nothing looked that good and I declined. When the bill arrived they charged us for both meals and my husband was ready to pay, but I refused to pay for something I barley touched. Their attitude was too bad you didn't like it and finally after arguing with him he said Ok. I can't believe how bad this place treat people. I had a great meal at las cazuelas and I would never return to le lupe.

Le jardin- I like the place and the coziness. I don't think the whole staff left after the chef left last week. The service was very good and I don't think you can find great wait staff in one week. We had braised beef with mushrooms and eggs. The meat was good as was the mushrooms, but they over cooked the eggs(it had a crust). They serve a good french press coffee. overall it was a positve experience.
