la focaccia

I ate at La Focaccia, located on 18th st in the Castro. My folks were visiting from out of town and wanted pizza. Not thinking there was much in the way of good pizza in SF I wanted to try Pauline's but of course it wasnt open. Fortunately I was reading the paper right before we left and I noticed the review of La Focaccia. Well it was quite good. Nice little place on the second floor up some steep steps, quite a trip for my 91 year old grandmother. Charming little place though, nice artwork, design, and good music. Young family seems to run it. Cute little girl brings water and things. The pizza itself was very nice, sauce and crust well done and proportioned well. We got one of the personal specials supersized. It had mushrooms, marscapone cheese, and procuitto(sp). I thought it was divine. The vegtable one was good too. Overall I was very happy and would definitely go back...
