La Espiga in Corona, or any great barbacoa de borrego/lamb in queens or Manhattan

erica | Dec 13, 201808:35 PM

Title tells it all. Will be leaving by car for southern climes in a day or so..must eat something great before hitting the chopped whole hog meccas of NC and SC. Although I know most regions of Mexico pretty well, I have very little experience with local NYC Mexican fare and have a hankering for great al pastor or barbacoa de borrego/lamb prevalent in restaurants only on weekends I believe. Any leads to great examples of some of my favorite dishes within fairly easy drive of midtown..car is ok..will be welcome.

Mil gracias for any help here....getting home sick already!

ps. Kudos to Madame Vo.....another great dinner last night..cannot wait for their bbq space to open in 2019..
