I was in Boston last week and was craving sushi. I came across Oishii through postings at both Chowhound and Zagats. I couldn't believe there was a 30 to 45 minute wait on a Thursday night. So I endured it, I thought this would be the highlight of my trip. WAS I WRONG!
The fish was mediocre. My hamachi tasted like it came from my supermarket sushi guy. The maguro was bland. It was a couple days too old.
The waiter recommended the salmon. The presentation was awesome (even had some gold flakes on top)...but it was FARMED SALMON.
I'm not being too picky but my dinner came out to be around $60 bucks (just food). That's expensive for I don't even think Ting-san is Japanese.
Is there a better place in Boston? Thanks.
