Kurobata pork at TJ's

Ruth Lafler | Mar 29, 200510:54 PM

Browsing the fresh meat section at the Trader Joe's in Alameda I found a piece of Snake River Farms Kurobata pork in a vaccuum pack for $7.99/ pound.

I sliced a chop-sized piece off one end and pan roasted it in its own fat with no seasoning. It was very tender and delicious (although after the initial "pure" taste I added salt).

Anyway, after the discussion a couple of weeks ago about where to get fresh Berkshire pork locally, I thought this might be of interest.
