We decided to go back and give this place another shot, and I am so glad we did. Starting with the egg rolls, which were very good and served with a nice sauce, plus we got them with an above average salad which had a peanut-y dressing. The tempura shrimp was good too, not real tempura though. The dried pork was great, especially the sauce with which it came, which the owner offered to make more of so we could take it home. Very spicy and cilantro filled. The spicy noodles were great, the noodles were perhaps more rubbery than I usually like, but it kind of worked. The string beans were the standout dish, tiny beans with pork and a spicy sauce (medium here is truly medium). The only let down was the soup, which perhaps we erred in by getting it too spicy. Not sure which soup it was, it was red, one of the ones without coconut milk, and it had shrimp.
To top things off, the woman who waited on us, who I think is the owner, is beyond friendly. I really love this place, and we will be back.
