No trip to Malaysia's north-east frontier state of Kelantan would be complete without trying its fabulously delicious barbecued chicken ("ayam percik"), marinated in spices (fenugreek, galangal, onions, etc) and basted with a thick. rich, sweet-salty coconut creme. It was singularly the *most* delicious chicken dish I'd had anywhere in the world!
I also ordered the "solok lada" - a large chilli stuffed with minced fish and grated coconut. Again, the perfect balance of flavors were there. I could live on these stuff forever!
