Korean Void Filled

After the demise of Sharon Garden on 23rd, OKC, I thought I'd have to give up my newly discovered fondness for Korean food. However, this weekend an adventurous aunt and I found B-Won at 4517 S Sunnylane in Del City. The parking lot was so full I had to drive around the block! It is a lovely place (and my aunt kept saying "these are the best looking people I've ever seen"). It was nearly full and had just seated a couple of large groups but the service was excellent and quick.
She ordered the short ribs, and forgive my ignorance but I've never seen ribs cut this way - the result being a row of crosscut rib disks and below them a flat rectangle of meat. They were very good. I had the fried squid, but they were tough and flavorless. The seven banchan were good and plentiful and my aunt found them very interesting, though they weren't amazing like Sharon's. All the food going past our table looked much better than mine, of course, so it will require many visits. While we were eating, a cowboy-businessman-type sat at a nearby table (they seated all the white folks in the same section). He told the waiter "son, this is my first visit and I don't have the slightest idea what to order". After discussing their identical gold bracelets, the kid brought him a heaping, steaming platter of marinated beef which was foot-stomping head-shaking good (I know this because I watched him). There was another large group waiting in the parking lot as we left, so maybe it will survive.
