Best Korean I've had is at a little place in Champaign...

I went to Hae Woon Dae yesterday because that seem to be THE place that everyone suggested for BBQ. It was very nice and it really was a great Kalbi meal. The main thing I really like was that they give so many choices of Panchan.

But I do want to suggest though for all of you chowhounders, if you're ever in Champaign to try this place called Woorijib, which is right on U of I campustown, on 6th st accross TIS Bookstore. This place I feel has the best korean BBQ (not Kalbi since it's stripped from the bone) I've ever had in my life. The meat just have so much more taste than all other korean bbq I've had, and they give you a choice to make it spicy if you want.
They also have really good chige and other dish like Jap Cae (glass noodle with vegetables) and Spicy Squid. The meal comes with2 side dish and soup, and the price for the dishes is around $6-$10. I usually order a plate of BBQ (they give you a big bundle of meat!!) and a chige for $15 tax incl.

I think Woorijib is the place the huge Korean student body go to for traditionaly homecooked meal. I myself was taken to this place by my korean classmates and now it's a sure once a week stop for me and my boyfriend!
