Korean bars?

david de berkeley | Nov 15, 2004 11:09 AM

hey hounds,

my friend's birthday is this saturday, and i need to find a korean bar that we can all go to.

the only real requirement is a decent tong ddak, which is essentially a whole cornish game hen or young chicken that is deep fried and then served with pickled daikon, jalepeno, and some seasoned salt.

a decent selection of soju would be nice, but i don't really mind sahn soju at all.

the only one i've heard of is cafe orange, any advice on the place?

also, i seem to vaguely recall a tribune article about eating out at korean bars. does anyone have a link or a copy (i had no luck on the trib website)?

thanks for your help.
