Komodo - great meal

Michele Cindy | Jul 17, 2001 09:01 AM

Went to Komodo last Saturday, most everything was delicious. Started with the Tempura Oysters, good taste but could have been more crisp. Green salad, had a nice touch of cayenne, and crunchy pumpkin seeds (I don't like nuts in my food but these fit the dish well). I also had the Sake Steamed Shrimp, those were GREAT. Very spicy but really tasty so you could still taste the shrimp through the heat. Also had the baked Tofu, it's with a smoky black bean and chili/ponzu sauce. I'm not really into tofu, but this was also tasty and I'd order it again. For desert had the BEST hot chocolate ever! They seem to do wonders with spices, the drink was flavored with cinnamon, and I think a touch of chili pepper. I also think it was made with condensed milk. The coconut cake was ok, but overall the meal was one of the best I've had lately. Plus 2 drinks, the bill came to about $60.00.
