No, my last name is not Dougherty… but we LOVE Docks and I hear nothing but good about K&F
We’re treating my Dad and Step-Mom to an Atlantic City weekend in early December for my Pop’s birthday and we’d like to take them out to dinner. Can’t decide where to take them and of course, they’re non-committal (oh, wherever you want is fine with us)
They’ve had lunch at Harry’s Oyster Bar but it seemed my Dad wasn’t totally blown over by it. We’ve had lunch there too, it was good… nothing earth shattering, but I’m easy, I like fresh oysters and good gin. If they have wianno, old salts, cape may salts, or malpeques and they have Bombay Sapphire, then I’m happy. In addition to oysters, my husband had a crabcake that he thought was wonderful and I had mussels fra diavolo, (I think) that were a little oily but still quite tasty.
But since it got a “ho hum” from Pop, I figure we’d pass on it. plus, I think we’d like to go a little more upscale for his birthday.
My husband and I have never eaten at the Knife & Fork, though we’re pretty much regulars at Docks….
They appreciate really good food, it takes a bit to impress them, though my step-mom is a little more limited in what she likes than my Dad
Suggestions for places to take them for dinner in Atlantic City?
