Klamath Falls - surprise at Mr. B's

FoodObsessive | Jul 24, 2005 02:55 AM

One more review for Klamath Falls -

Mr. B's is an unlikely place, a former French restaurant that reinvented itself as a steakhouse to cater to local tastes, but still has French items available for those who know to ask. Chicken Cordon Bleu is never on the menu but always available, and it was quite good. Other items we tried: Veal ribs (excellent) Veal oscar (OK), red snapper toppped with shrimp and Mornay sauce (very good). German food is also offered, rouladen the special the night we were there. Didn't try it, but had some of the German red cabbage offered as a side order - exceptional. Service knowledgable but a bit unprofessional, decor elegant - building was obviously an old Craftsman home remodeled some time ago, nicely kept. Decent wine list, markup OK. Diners cost $18-$25, including soup and salad. If I had to choose only one meal in Klamath Falls, this would be it. Address - 3927 Sixth Street, out near the fairgrounds in an otherwise downscale neighborhod. Ph. 541-883-8719.
