Kitchen Market--positive news

For a long time, Kitchen Market was the gold standard for burritos in manhattan. Over the last year or two, however, it seemed to slip a bit. Rice was routinely undercooked, beans were a bit mushy, and the guac and salsa just didn't taste fresh. I started frequenting Chipotle for my burrito fixation.

Recently, though, I moved into the neighborhood, and had several opportunities to retry Kitchen Market. I am happy to report that, whatever their past problems, they appear to be back on track. None of the above-mentioned issues were apparent during several visits the past few weeks.

The burritos still cost too much, particularly if you get them with guac, which is key. I also wish they would start offering carne and pollo asada fillings. But the burritos themselves are as tasty as ever--the ultimate proof being that I haven't been back to Chipotle since my move.
