I was browsing through the Taschen bookstore in Paris this week (I hope to do a posting about my food experiences during my first visit to Paris shortly) and encountered this book, Kitchen Kitsch, subtitled Vintage Food Graphics.
It is a quite interesting book based on pictures used in the 1950's to entice consumers to buy name brand food items. It's like looking through a stack of magazines from the 50's filled with food ads. What is amazing is how much has changed since virtually all of the images portrayed of food and recipes are enough to stop one from eating altogether. Truly repulsive stuff!
