King Tut Grill in Knoxville, TN

i will begin by thanking Harry Studer for his recommendation on this place.

Located in a neighborhood that would be kind to call depressed it is a jewel. I visited there tonight to be delighted to meet Mo and his wonderful wife Seham. The place was full of college kids from a local school. I went for the Greek salad after Mo recommended it as the best dish he made.

I had something happen that has only happened once in the past. I asked him if he took credit cards and his reply knocked me over. No credit cards!!! Eat what you want and then send me a check when you get home!!! Someone rips this guy off and I will hunt you down

The salad was the best I have ever had. There was more left after I stuffed myself than most places give you to begin with. Mo serves your drink in flower vases. No refills required at my table.

He refused to allow me to tip. My bill was $7.54 and he gave me the exact change back. Said I would be allowed to tip on my next visit. I'm going back for lunch tomorrow and intend to visit each time I'm in Knoxville.

Br forwarned....This place looks like rather rough on the outside but if you pass it up you're making a major mistake. On a scale of one to ten it is a twenty five.

If you're in east Tennessee this place is a must. Thanks again to Mr. Studer for the recommendation and many thanks to Mo and Seham for the restaurant.
