This is not big news, kids, but I'd like to spread it to those who may share my taste: I really like Frascati, a white wine from the hills east of Rome, which I could find regularly back in Nashville but rarely here, a thing which I cannot for the life of me understand but there it is. Anyway, Trader Joe's has a Castelli Romani white wine, under the San Tommasso label, which is pretty much a Frascati Lite, at least to my palate. Very much like Frascati it's not really a fish-friendly wine, but rather ham-friendly. I had some tonight with my rather highly-seasoned chicken & mushrooms in cream, and it was pretty damned good. Especially for $2.99/bottle.
