New (kind of) Chinese discovery in Sacto.

New Hong Kong Wok, been opened several months. It's on Freeport just north of Fruitridge, right next to the hygenically challenged Jade Fountain and across the street from Far East Cafe.

We go there for lunch only. It serves mostly noodle plate rice kind of dishes, with so-called Hong Kong style western plates, Hainan chicken rice, and tapioca drinks. It also has some pretty high end stuff on the menu, including Budha jumps over the wall and shark fin soup.

We go there mainly for the won ton noodles. It one of the best in the greater Bay Area, including SF and South Bay. Friend of ours actually think that they are as good as Chi Kee in HK, which is one of the standard bearers when it comes to won ton noodle.

New HK Wok has excellent noodles, great soup, and 4 or 5 large wontons stuffed with large shrimps. I can go there just for the won ton everyday. We need to try their dinner service someday.
