Need a Killer Hummus Recipe

Jim Leff | Oct 4, 201609:45 AM     83

I've been trying to make hummus for years. I've followed zillions of recipes, freelanced it on my own, worked from canned chickpeas and fresh. And it always comes out merely so-so.

A ton of people are inordinately proud of their crummy hummus recipe, so it's hard to winnow out a truly good recipe. Most people have low standards. I'm cursed with having eaten great hummus in certain restaurants.

Can anyone WHO SHARES MY OBSERVATIONS (i.e. finds most hummus and hummus recipes to be remarkably poor) offer a recipe that actually tastes both good and authentic? I'm hoping this will filter the responses.

(If you're about to ask me what, exactly, I dislike about most hummus recipes, then you're not someone who shares my views. This thread is for assumption-sharers!).
