I posted this message awhile back but didn't get any responses. Just trying again:

My husband and I will be in Manhattan for 3 nights over Memorial Day Weekend. Driving up from D.C. on Friday, May 27. We will be bringing our 2-year-old son so I'm in search of places that have great food, fun/hip atmosphere, and are also kid-friendly. Our son has a pretty sophisticated palate for a toddler (loves lamb chops, Parmigiano Reggiano, spicy Thai food), so we don't need a kids menu.

We'll be staying in Soho at 60 Thompson, and already have reservations at 7:30 pm for Kittichai (Fri) and Lupa (Sat). I've heard both have excellent food and the atmosphere may be fine for kids, but wanted to hear Manhattan Chowhounds' opinions on these choices. A place that's on the noisy side and is visually appealing would be good for our son. He also loves music.

Would also love to get recs for places in or near Soho for breakfast and lunch. We like all kinds of food. Budget can run the gamut from inexpensive, moderate to expensive (but not top tier).

Thanks in advance!
