When I lived in Chicago, our local Thai restaurant made the most wonderful dish called Khao Soy. It was kind of a curry soup with soft egg noodles and then topped with crispy fried noodles and a lime wedge. Just thinking about it brings tears to my eyes. I have never seen it in a Thai restaurant here in DC. Any chowhound who can tell me if I can find it here will receive my undying gratitude.
ps I think it might be a regional dish in Thailand.
