BBQ seems to get on a lot of topics in this forum. Especially the South message boards. However I am accustomed to KC style BBQ, but now live in Virginia. Now it is very possible I haven't been going to the right places, but notice the vinegar flavor of southern BBQ seems to take away from the taste of the meats. I am an opened minded person I try everything and have a small list of types of food that I say I don't like, but I am nearing the point where I am beleiving that I don't like southern BBQ, is it possible I don't like something that is held so highly in regard to southern eaters?? I have usually tried the shredded meat sandwiches with slaw or hot peppers. Should I be getting something else? What am I missing, I feel like I am standing outside of the circle here?
