Been wanting to try her cupcakes forever. Found the store up at Ghiradelli Square after climbing up the stairs, across from the fountain.
The store is very cute. Regular cupcakes are $3, filled cupcakes are $3.25. No mini cupcakes at this location, u gotta go to her other store on Scott & Chestnut. Seems everything is made at the other store, cuz I just saw the store ppl take cupcakes out of boxes & put in the display cases.
I picked up:
Fleur De Sel $3.25-chocolate cupcake w/ caramel filling, ganache frosting & fleur de sel. It's pretty good chocolate cupcake & small amount of caramel filling. Frosting is just Nasty though. Tiny drop of fleur de sel (sea salt) on the top.
Meyer Lemony Lemon $3.25-vanilla cupcake w/ a tart lemon filling & lemon buttercream. Vanilla cupcake & tiny amount of lemon filling were fine. Lemon buttercream frosting Nasty. Taste & feels like Crisco.
Passion Fruit $3.25-vanilla cupcake w/ passion fruit filling & vanilla buttercream. Ok vanilla cupcake & tiny amount of passion fruit filling. Same gross frosting.
Some stools to sit by the window at inside, lots of tables & chairs outside.
Drinks they have: coffee $2, milk $1, iced tea $2, bottled water $1.5.
Credit cards taken if over $10. Of course my 3 just ok cupcakes were $9.75!
1 dozen cupcakes $36

I bought a 12oz latte here for $2, good foam, strong coffee. You get a Free truffle w/ drink. My favorite is the caramel. Well, found out they Refrigerator the Caramel Truffle during the warm months so the caramel is not liquid when you eat it right away. He said to wait until it's room temperature. Wish he told me before I ate the thing w/ my coffee. Don't eat it right away is my warning! 75c for one piece otherwise.
