so, even after my friend told my boyfriend that kabuki in the howard huges promenade was a less than average chain, he still insisted we try it because he heard it was great with half price sushi. so, before our movie on friday night because they don't take reservations on friday and saturday night, we walked around with our little buzzer waiting to vibrate for 45 minutes waiting for a table. irritated me a little more than my bf because i don't even eat sushi. we finally buzzed to have the service suck and the waitstaff spent most of the time singing happy birthday to tables full of college kids. my boyfriend was of course less than impressed with the half price sushi (duh, a no brainer), and i ate my $15 worth of tempura. moral of the story, don't go to kabuki and listen to your friends.
