We began our evening Saturday night, 7/27/02, @ the bar sharing a crab cake with a lemon aoli sauce. The sauce was bland and the crab cake ($7.95) tasted more of the bread crumbs and seasonings holding it together than it did of crab. It also had a thick crisp coating on the outside - won't get again. We were seated and I ordered Chilean Sea Bass w/dirty marinade (a mustard and herb marinade brushed on while cooking) which came with garlic whipped potatoes, summer squash and asparagus for $23.95. This was just plain awful...the fish had soaked up all of the oil it was seared in (apparently the chef did not let the pan heat up properly), I was treated to 3 chunks of squash which had been swimming in butter, and 3 spears of asparagus. The majority of the plate consisted of the pototoes which took up half of the plate and also underneath the fish!
My husband ordered the pasta with scallops which was wonderful and tasty.
We waited a solid 30-40 minutes after ordering before receiving our meal. We won't go back.
