I'm so happy I must share my joy. My better half got me the 2.5 qt Le Creuset Saucier for my birthday and it just arrived. I must admit I'm quite taken with the look of it but it is also an excellent tool. Not having much time as it is a weeknight I decided to make a quick sauce mornay (cheese sauce) for some left over cauliflower. Typically I have to hover over sauces to make sure nothing scalds or sticks, plus you can never seem to get into corners with the whisk, but with a proper saucier the heavy bottom dispersed the heat perfectly and the sloped edges allowed me to get all up into the corners. The result was a mornay that came together more quickly and easily than ever and even tasted better.
I am indeed a happy man.
