wanting a cool refreshing drink after my son's soccer game on saturday we headed for the home of the tapioca freeze in its new location on Davis.
A couple of things were immediately apparent-- no crowds, no take out window and space to walk between tables- a definite improvement upon the original (decor was pretty much the same except for the addition of a quasi-open kitchen) Servers were actually friendly, another change. Drinks were ordered and they were tasty, fruity, refreshing as always. On the food front they were some changes, pot stickers were no longer the fat, juicy, meaty, with slightly chewy seeming like homemade ones as at chinatown, instead they seemed to be like packaged thin skinned gyoza. Galbi was terrible (at first I couldn't tell it was beef, from its coloring like chinese bbq pork, no korean flavors at all, butter fried squid were no longer on the menu. However black mushroom chow fuun, and their version of pho were pretty tasty.
