Jonathon White (himself!) is peddling his fantastic artisanal cheese at the tiny Nyack farmer's market. Unfortunately the market will be open only one more session, Thursday, Nov. 20th, from about nine until about noon.
Apparently Jonathon's been there the past two or three weeks, but today was the first time I've been in a while. I got some incredible cheddar and Florent, a cheese washed with the Belgian ale of the same name. MMMMMMMMM-mmmmmmmmm!
All the cheese are made from raw milk from grass fed cows. When the cows are milked the liquid flows directly into the cheese vats. Get more info at Jonathon's web site (a link is below).
While at the market pick up some incredibly crunchy winesap apples from Conklin Farms and check out the tasty baked goods from Not Just Ruggulah.
