JiRaffe, what a total mind blowing meal last night

Kurt | Jul 26, 2005 11:43 AM

I have a pretty good memory, and I have to say this is one certainly one of the best meals I have ever had in LA and prob makes my top 50 of all time, it was that dead on. I could wax on and on, but the food @ this place at least last night tasted every bit as good as it read on the menu. The normal menu also looks terrific. SO and I had one of each, just divine – the last time I had osso bucco this good was Peck in Milan and they are world famous for it. Salmon was a French Laundry kind of preparation, wonderful light sauce, veggies under the fish, just perfect. Bread was a total waste of cal, just high end wonder bread to me. On normal nights the mains are in the $30’s and corkage is $20 so if I had to choose I would still always go Lucques, but the food here is different – modern French all the way so if that’s what you feel like then so be it. I will look at the Monday fixed when I look every week at the Lucques Sunday offering, that is for sure.
