Jeanne A, winebar, epicerie, rotisserie, deli, eat-in by Astier

Thanks to heads up from posters on this forum, we headed to Jeanne A for what we thought would be a light Sunday night dinner. This tiny room is a winner. Sweet welcome and service, chalkboard of several entrees and plats, superb wines by the glass as well as bottle.

Our adorable waiter asked if I wanted the gigot d'agneau to share or just for me. Curious...until they served my plate: two large, thick slices of rosy fork tender lamb, a huge portion of dauphinoise and a nice clump of well dressed greens. My husband's ballotine of canard with chorizo was no less generous or excellent. Not knowing how large the plates were, we had each ordered an entree: Iberrico ham on fresh levain and st. jacques grilled on the shell with herb butter.

Most amazing, with 2 champagnes, 2 entrees, 2 plates, 2 glasses of white wine and 2 red, 2 coffees, our tab was....72€.
