Jasper FL-4 hrs south of ATL on I-75 - H&F Foods

Heading south on I-75 into FL from Valdosta GA, Jasper is the second exit in FL, about 4 hours south of Atlanta.

I found H&F Foods on the main drag in Jasper from the Roadfood books about ten years ago. Since then they have had a fire and rebuilt. H&F serves both breakfast and lunch.

Lunch is $6.00--'Take all you want, eat what you take' and includes good fried chicken and country vegetables such as black eyed peas, turnip greens, butter beans, string beans, very good cornbread dressing and corn bread, cooked cabbage, sliced tomatoes and surprisingly good sheet cakes.

Our marketing manager, along for the ride from Atlanta to this past weekend's trade show in Orlando, aptly summed up H&F as "interestingly good".

A worthy chowhound stop along an otherwise barren interstate.
