This is the newish Persian place next to Kay's Produce in the Armenian strip. It's a small brightly-lit storefront with a long counter and half a dozen small tables (with cloths). Half the tables were occupied early Friday evening and there was a good buzz of what I assume was Farsi. The menu is pretty much the same as Molana's with most prices $1 cheaper, and a large wrap selection, and fancy rice polos offered separately. They also list taddig with choice of veggie khoresht (no further details, but perhaps there are hidden vegetarian options).
I tried the khoresht of the day, which was ghormeh sabzy (spinach and herbs) (ordered takeout). I got a huge styrofoam clamshell of basmati rice and a smaller container of stew--spinach puree with small bits of nicely stewed beef and red kidney beans (and a heck of a lot of butter--really I should have made 2 meals of this). A simple thing but it not only grew on me, it haunted me all weekend.
Wow. Must try more Persian food. I sense a chow dinner coming up, I think at Molana which has more room (and a nicer space).
