Jasmine Deli in Minneapolis

A Fish Called Wanda | Jun 14, 200410:53 AM

I am a Boston hound and I was in Minneapolis for a conference last week. Thanks to this board, I was lucky to have the best Vietnamese food I've ever had. Jasmine Deli in Uptown is a gem. I went there twice and had a chance to try 2 salads, spring rolls, and egg rolls. The salad with pork was out of this world. The pork was crispy and very intensely flavorful. The noodles and veggies provided a perfect background. The second time, I had a salad with pork, shrimp, and pork cutlet. I thought the pork was the winner of the three. The egg rolls were incredibly light and crispy and full of yummy veggies and pork (I think they have a veggie version too). Spring rolls were pretty good, but they were rolled way in advance and the rice paper wrap got a bit tough. The salads were $5.50-6.50. Appetizers were $2.50-3.00. All in all a really fantastic experience. I'll miss this place a lot...
