Japon Bistro Happy Hour - Stuffed Shishito Peppers!

Miss Eat-A-LOT | Aug 11, 200511:05 PM

Went to the new Happy Hour at Japon Bistro in Pasadena off Colorado today and it was a good deal and as always delicious. After eating at JB I can never go back to Kabuki and the like.

They have some great tasty deals there that would normally cost you twice as much without the happy hour specials. The California and Spicy Tuna rolls were $2. You get four pieces in an order and normally you would get six pieces for about $5-6.

The Stuffed Shishito Peppers are to die for ($4)! I haven't had anything this good in a while. They were stuffed with spicy tuna, battered with tempura and drizzled with a delicate teriyaki-like sauce.

Koji who I think is the owner talks to every customer and makes them feel very welcome. The service is fab but most important the food is the star! There were also drink specials too but I'll report on this tomorrow when I go back for more peppers! Oh, also I want to report another trip I made a month ago to JB. I had there Red Snapper and Halibut. The Red Snapper was seasoned ever so lightly with lemon and sea salt. The Halibut had a delicate flavor. Their sushi is the freshest I've ever had. I really love JB!
