Japanese In the Triangle (preferably west side)

burgeoningfoodie | Jul 1, 201906:32 AM     4

Wife and I were watching an episode of Street Food on netflix and marveled at the izakaya and the yummy looking takoyaki and okonomiyaki. We know there are places that do "sushi" and places that do bento, but is there any place that does actual Japanese food (we went to Yamazushi) but that is not exactly what we are looking for. More street food oriented and without the needing to add an American twist. We have not been to Dashi but have heard middling reviews. We have been to M. Sushi which was good but not quite what we wanted. Wife doesn't really want fried so I'm not sure M. Tempura is the option we are looking for. Does this make sense?
