japanese all-u-can-eat

wy wang | Jun 20, 2002 09:11 PM

First time here ;-)
Unless you don't really care about the concept of "all-u-can-eat" or you're a small party, try to avoid this Japanese restaurant named Sakura (?) near Garfield/Garvey across Hong Kong Market in Monterey Park. We've been there 3 times; food and price were OK, but service was slow and not much friendly. They had bunch of "rules and regulations" that made customers feel like an idiot and uncomfortable such as "limited time ordering food" (imagining you are a big group...). Plus, although they were advertised as "all-u-can-eat", there were many dishes being limited to "one order only". They made us feel "guilty" when we said we were still hungrey and we wanted to order more (cuz it's supposed to be all-u-can-eat, dah~) ...
It's definitely not a pleasant dining experience in general.
