I've been looking online for recipes for Japanese style curry made from scratch, starting with demi glace and a mixture of curry spices. NOT from prepackaged roux mixes. I have a general idea of what I want to do, but I wanted to consult a few recipes to see if I'm off the mark on some of my ideas. Every recipe (in English) I've found online lists the prepackaged roux mix as an ingredient. I've also been looking for other Japanese yoshoku (western style) recipes for things like hayashi rice and tongue stew. Any ideas? Thanks.
