Jane G

We really enjoyed our dinner at Jane G last night.
We had only been there once before, just after it opened, and meant to return. We were glad to see that it was very busy.

We shared three appetizers and one main course:
Scallion pancakes - very crisp, a good version
Brussel sprouts - the best I've had, can't wait to get them again
Dumpling sampler - two each of four kinds, liked all but the vegetarian
Entree of tea smoked duck - excellent. Succulent, no fat on it,
more than enough for two people.

With two drinks and a shared dessert of semi-freddo, our bill, including tax and tip, was under $100. The place is beautiful, the service was very good, and we thought every dish we had was excellent.
By the way, we were one of the few Caucasians there and also probably the oldest. Young crowd, probably from Penn and Drexel.
We admired the other dishes served - some of the hot pots looked enticing - and would like to hear reports from other people.

Note: I don't eat spicy food, so can't report on that.
