Just back from Jamaica/MBJ

Well, what can I say, Jamaica is great..having lived and traveled throughout the islands I was thrilled with my trip to the Irie land. We stayed at a horrid hotel on the hip strip and moved to Round Hill. It was amazing.

Dinner at Native - good local eats, on the loud hip strip. Terrible service but a super waiter if that makes sense..he was trying his best but why it was so slow I have no clue..

Marguerites on the Hip Strip was over priced but man, what ambiance. VERY romantic.

Jerky near the cinema was super..they grill the meat right in front...LOVED IT..cheap too..

Day O Plantation- a little plantation house outfitted like a wedding cake mostly catering to weddings. A little too cute for me..food was very good but pricey. The owner does hotel pick up and entertainment. He is very nice.

Lunch at Round Hill - decent prices, great food and LOVELY setting. The local fish was delectable.

Tea at Round Hill - I am a tea freak..love it..and here, the selection of tea was great..and the little sandwiches and sweets were delicious. Super super..

Chicken Lavish in tacky Negril - what do people see in this tacky icky tourist area. Chicken Lavish has great local eats but the service was so slow..we had to get up 3 times for our check. There were two tables and well, it was absurd. I live in the islands and know it's slow but this was ridiculous.

The best eats were the fresh fruits available roadside..YUMMY..
