I know this is two posts in a row, but I just wanted to throw this out there...
There's been a bit of discussion on the board lately about Izakaya, a new Japanese noodle place on Front. We tried it last night, and were pleasantly surprised. Both the duck gyoza and pork gyoza were great (we got a free sample of the latter plus the Tori Kara Age, which was nice) -- not too salty, not too chewy. My SO had the Izakaya Ramen, which was tasty and full of lots of good 'stuff' (definitely a complete meal). I had the Yaki Udon, about which my only suggestion would be more noodles, less sprouts (or whatever those are actually called). Other than that, very tasty.
Also, the fresh fruit juices are good too, if that's your thing, although next time I'd probably stick with a beer to go with my edamame. :)
Plus, a pleasant dining experience -- super-friendly wait staff, very cool design, and tons of wide open space.
We'll definitely be going back -- hope they stick around!
